Hot-Topic and Competitor Radar
Objective
Identify user needs, expression structures, and timing opportunities without copying competitors' ideas or copy.
Data Source Priority
- Links, screenshots, exported files, and materials provided by the user.
- Official documentation, original publications, papers, announcements, and authors' posts.
- Public platform search, trending lists, competitor pages, and public engagement data.
- Credible secondary sources for supplementary background, without replacing primary facts.
Recent products, people, prices, versions, news, and platform rules must be verified online. Technical facts should prioritize official sources.
Research Workflow
1. Define the Research Question
Determine whether the objective is to identify a trending window, keyword demand, competitor structure, account positioning, or content opportunities. First narrow down the platform, time range, and sample size.
2. Collect a Limited Sample
Collect only samples that can answer the research question. Record links, publication times, titles, content formats, public engagement, and observation notes. Do not treat a single high-performing post as a pattern.
3. Deconstruct the Structure
Review each item to identify:
- What promise, identity, conflict, or information gap the headline uses.
- How the first 3 seconds or first screen establishes audience retention.
- How the content organizes evidence, stories, steps, and transitions.
- What role the cover image or first image serves.
- How calls to action, hashtags, collections, and publication times support the objective.
- Which genuine questions and objections are exposed in the comments.
4. Identify Opportunities
Distinguish between:
- Facts that can be directly verified.
- Patterns repeated across multiple samples.
- Phenomena that may be caused by trending topics, paid distribution, or account size.
- First-hand experience, counterevidence, and independent judgment users can contribute.
5. Convert Findings into Original Content Ideas
For each candidate, specify the one-sentence thesis, target audience, timing window, first-hand evidence, differentiated angle, suitable platform, remaining evidence gaps, and risks.
Output
Deliverables:
- Research scope and sample description.
- 3 to 5 structural findings.
- Points that cannot be concluded.
- 3 to 5 original content ideas.
- The most recommended content idea and next validation actions.
