Workflow
Execute the steps in order, and clearly output each step.
Ground the content in a real trending topic
If the user provides a specific news item, event, or headline, proceed directly to Step 2.
If the user provides only a vague topic, such as “write a Xiaohongshu post about AI,” first call
mcp__trendradar__get_latest_news(limit=30)
to retrieve recent, real-world angles. If the user mentions a reference event, call
Select 1–3 real news stories as factual anchors. Record each story’s platform, headline, and time so that the sources remain traceable in the final output.
Optional: Determine the emotional tone
For sensitive events involving controversy, society, livelihood issues, or entertainment scandals, call
mcp__trendradar__analyze_sentiment
to determine whether the dominant tone is positive, negative, or neutral.
Match the platform to the sentiment:
Negative dominant → WeChat Official Accounts and Zhihu are better suited to a rational review. Do not force the trend on Xiaohongshu or Douyin; use an angle such as pitfalls to avoid or observation instead.
Positive dominant → Celebration, memes, and product-recommendation approaches are suitable for Xiaohongshu, Douyin, and Bilibili.
Neutral → The safest approach is an information-gap, practical-tips, or reveal-style angle.
Load the platform rules
Read
references/platform-playbook.md
to obtain the target platform’s character limits, hook templates, and interaction hooks.
If the user does not specify a platform, output three versions by default: Xiaohongshu, Douyin, and Weibo, the combination with the broadest coverage.
Load the title templates
Read
references/title-patterns.md
and select 3–5 templates that best match the current event and platform.
Prioritize different templates for different platforms:
Generate 3–5 title variants, and label the template used for each one, such as
[Reversal]
or
[Numerical Contrast]
.
Generate one body skeleton containing an opening hook, 3–5 middle points, and a closing CTA.
Generate one opening hook that grabs attention within the first three seconds of a video or the first sentence of text.
Generate a hashtag or topic-tag list whose quantity complies with each platform’s rules.
Generate one CTA encouraging comments, saves, reposts, triple actions, follows, or similar interactions.
Run the guardrail self-check using the “Anti-clickbait + compliance guardrails” and “Quality checklist” sections below.
Return the result to the user using the “one block per platform” format.
Per-platform output blocks
Output one block per platform. Every block must include a character-limit annotation, title variants, an opening hook, a body skeleton, hashtags, a CTA, and source attribution.
Xiaohongshu (小红书)
Character limits: A title of ≤20 Chinese characters is optimal—the system maximum is 20, and longer titles are truncated. The body should be ≤1,000 characters, with 600–800 characters providing the best reading experience.
Emoji: Use 2–5 emoji moderately, concentrated at the beginning or end of the title and at the start of paragraphs. Excessive use may make the account appear to be a marketing account.
Structure template:
Title (≤20 characters + 1–2 emoji)
Opening hook (1–2 sentences that create a pain point, reversal, or resonance and make the reader want to keep scrolling)
Pain point 1 / Highlight 1 (bold subheading or emoji cue)
Pain point 2 / Highlight 2
Pain point 3 / Highlight 3
(Recommended: 3–5 sections, each 2–4 lines)
Closing interaction hook (question / request for comments / topic prompt)
#Topic1# #Topic2# #Topic3# (3–8 tags)
Hashtags: Use 3–8 tags, mixing broad terms with millions of posts, medium terms with hundreds of thousands of posts, and long-tail terms.
CTA:
Have you experienced this too? Tell me in the comments
/
Like and save this so you can find it next time
/
Waiting to see everyone try it
.
Douyin (抖音)
Character limits: The video caption or description must be ≤55 characters. Longer text is folded, and the first 20 characters are the most important.
First-three-second hook: The first sentence must immediately introduce a reversal, suspense, or clear benefit, such as “I bet you didn’t know...” / “90% of people get this wrong” / “Stop doing XXX—watch this and you’ll understand.”
Structure template:
Video title (≤55 characters, with the first 20 characters serving as the hook)
Voice-over script:
[0–3 sec] Hook sentence (reversal / suspense / benefit)
[3–15 sec] Introduce the fact or conflict
[15–45 sec] Expand on 2–3 points (one sentence each, fast-paced)
[45–60 sec] Reversal / elevation / CTA
BGM style recommendation: (tense / healing / beat-synced / comedy / emotional)
Visual pacing: Cut every 3–5 seconds and add large subtitles
Hashtags/topics: Use 3–5 tags, including at least one major trending topic and one niche-category tag.
CTA:
Share your thoughts in the comments
/
Double-tap to like
/
Follow me so you can avoid the pitfalls
.
Bilibili (B站)
Character limits: Title ≤40 characters; the first 20 characters appear on the cover. Description ≤250 characters.
Title patterns: Suspense / numbers / contrast / “What if I gave X to Y?”
Structure template:
Title (≤40 characters, using suspense / numbers / contrast)
Opening sentence of the description (spontaneous and hook-driven, giving the viewer a reason to click)
Middle of the description (2–3 sentences setting up the world or benefit)
End of the description (triple-action prompt: like, coin, and favorite / coin and follow)
Video script (for long-form videos):
First 30 seconds: Self-introduction + hook + the value viewers will gain
Main content: Organized into chapters, each lasting 2–5 minutes, with rhythmic transitions
Ending: Summary + triple action + preview of the next episode
CTA:
Like, coin, and favorite in one tap
/
Coin and follow so you don’t miss the next video
/
Share your thoughts in the comments
.
Weibo (微博)
Character limits: The post must be ≤140 characters, including #topics# and links. This is a hard system limit.
Structure template:
#Topic entry# + one hook (the first 30 characters are the most important because only this portion appears in the feed)
+ 1–2 sentences of supporting facts or information
+ an interactive question at the end
#Topics#: Use 1–2 topics wrapped in # symbols so the system recognizes them. Prioritize existing trending-topic entries.
CTA:
What do you think?
/
Repost this so more people can see it
/
Waiting for your thoughts in the comments
.
Advanced option: Use a long Weibo post for content exceeding 140 characters, but the opening sentence must still hook the reader within 140 characters.
Zhihu answer (知乎回答)
Character limits: There is no hard limit for a single answer, although 800–3,000 Chinese characters is recommended. The first five sentences determine the fold rate.
First paragraph, 3–5 sentences: Start with the conclusion, a counter-consensus viewpoint, or a memorable line, then introduce the supporting arguments.
Structure template:
Opening paragraph (3–5 sentences):
L1 Counter-consensus conclusion or memorable line (“Not X, but Y”)
L2 One counterintuitive fact
L3 Introduce the reasons for expanding on the topic, such as “I’ll explain this from three dimensions”
Argument 1 (subheading)
Argument 2 (subheading)
Argument 3 (subheading)
Closing thought hook: Pose a question / leave space for interpretation / invite additional perspectives
Sources / data references (listed at the end)
CTA:
If this was helpful, leave an upvote
/
Feel free to add your perspective in the comments
.
WeChat Official Account article (公众号头条)
Character limits: Title ≤64 characters and may occupy two lines; the first 20 characters are visible in the feed. The opening paragraph determines retention after the click.
Two-line title structure: The first line creates urgency or empathy, while the second provides concrete information.
Structure template:
Title (≤64 characters, using a two-line structure)
Opening paragraph (empathy / urgency / story-based opening):
One sentence that places the reader in a scene + one sentence that introduces the topic
Subheading 1 (level-one subheading, bolded)
Body text of 200–400 characters
Subheading 2
Body text of 200–400 characters
Subheading 3
Body text of 200–400 characters
Ending: Elevation / call to action / “Like/View + Repost” prompt
CTA:
Tap Like/View so more people can see it
/
Share it with the friend who needs this
.
Anti-clickbait + compliance guardrails
Strictly prohibited:
Medical or treatment-efficacy claims, such as
根治
/
100% 治愈
/
替代医生
/
服用后立刻 XX
—these may trigger advertising-law and medical-advertising reviews.
Recommendations involving individual stocks or cryptocurrencies, such as
XX 必涨
/
现在买 XX
/
我的仓位
—these create securities-law and platform risk.
Claims of unpublished information, such as
内部消息
/
知情人士独家爆料
—these may be classified as rumor-mongering or insider trading.
Unverified accusations or personal attacks, such as naming and insulting someone or calling someone a “criminal” before a court judgment—these create reputational risks.
Absolute claims such as
最
/
第一
/
唯一
/
最强
without a public, authoritative data source—these may violate Article 9 of the Advertising Law.
Required:
For every factual claim, include a source in this format:
(Source: [platform] · [headline] · [time], via trendradar)
.
When describing specific behavior by a person or company, use an attributed tone such as “according to reports” or “according to [media outlet]” rather than stating it as your own assertion.
When mentioning amounts or data, state whether they come from public reporting or are estimates.
Risk-word reminders—these terms may trigger reach limitations or downgrading on Chinese platforms and should be replaced or accompanied by a compliance explanation:
Financial:
做空
暴跌
内幕
躺赚
稳赚
闭眼买
退休金
→ replace with
观察
回调
公开消息
参考
.
Medical:
秘方
根治
特效
替代医生
→ replace with
经验分享
仅供参考
咨询专业人士
.
Absolute:
最
唯一
第一
永远
→ replace with
相对较
目前看到
我个人觉得
.
Emotional:
震惊
惊爆
速看
→ these are already recognized as clickbait; replace them with a specific number or scenario.
Quality checklist before returning to the user
Review every item. If any item fails, revise the content:
Is the title within the platform’s character limit? (Xiaohongshu 20 / Douyin 55 / Bilibili 40 / Weibo 140 / WeChat Official Accounts 64)
Is the opening hook in the first three seconds or first sentence? (Required for video scripts and image-and-text posts.)
Is the number of hashtags within the platform’s compliant range? (Xiaohongshu 3–8 / Douyin 3–5 / Weibo 1–2 / Bilibili flexible)
Is there a clear CTA? At least one of comments, saves, reposts, triple actions, Like/View, or follows.
Do all factual claims include a trendradar source with the platform, headline, and time?
Does the content trigger any terms from the risk-word list, such as financial, medical, absolute, or emotionally exaggerated wording?
Does it contain medical claims, stock recommendations, or unverified allegations? These must be removed or rewritten.
Are the title variants genuinely differentiated, rather than five versions of the same formula with different wording?
Don’ts
Do not copy and paste the same title onto every platform. Platform tone, character limits, and hashtag rules differ substantially, and lazy output will be immediately recognizable by users.
Do not fabricate event details to attract attention. Facts must come from real trendradar news. Descriptive or scenario-based packaging is acceptable, but you must not invent quotations such as “she said” or “he admitted.”
Do not force a trending topic that is unrelated to the user’s business. Irrelevant trend-jacking can lead to platform reach limitations and users accusing the content of being clickbait. If the topic is too far removed, proactively explain that it is not suitable and suggest a more relevant angle.
Do not use emoji on every platform. Emoji can feel frivolous in more serious contexts such as Zhihu, WeChat Official Accounts, and Weibo. Their primary role is on Xiaohongshu and in Douyin subtitles.
Do not pile on parallel phrasing as a substitute for substance. Empty rhetoric can be detected by AI-slop filters on WeChat Official Accounts, Zhihu, and Douyin, potentially resulting in reach limitations.
