Integrating the Introduced Technology

When introducing a library or a new implementation approach, carry the work through to integrating it into the repository.
  • Find existing equivalent implementations and migrate them to the new approach.
  • Prevent the old approach from being used in new code. Enforce this through lint (such as 
    no-restricted-imports
    ), types, CI, and dependency constraints.
  • Do not rely solely on documentation or conventions to enforce its use.
  • If there are multiple ways to use the new approach, standardize on one.
  • Remove old implementations and dependencies that are no longer needed after the migration.
