Step 1: Determine Inspection Target (Target Selection)

Civil Law: Inspect one by one using "claim basis" as the unit; if there are multiple candidates, arrange them according to the customary order of claim basis inspection: Contract → Quasi-contract (Pre-contractual Negligence, Unauthorized Agency) → Negotiorum Gestio → Property Rights → Tort → Unjust Enrichment.
Criminal Law: Inspect one by one using "charge" as the unit, adopting the three-tier review: Conformity of Constituent Elements → Illegality → Culpability.
Output: List the claim basis/charge list and order to be inspected for the user, and proceed one by one after confirmation.

Step 2: Decompose Constituent Elements (Element Decomposition)

Priority of Decomposition Basis:
1. Literal Meaning of Provisions: Decompose directly from the verified original text of the provisions (subject, act, object, result, subjective elements, proviso).
2. Judgment Reasons: When there is a dispute over the connotation of an element or it is an indeterminate legal concept (e.g., "unlawful", "adequate causation", "obviously unfair"), retrieve judgments using

  , and only cite the reason statements of judgments in
  allowed_citations
  as the basis for the connotation of the element. When multiple elements need to be anchored, use the "parallel multi-query (sub-agent division of labor)" of
  legal-research
  to retrieve simultaneously with sub-agents, and comply with its hallucination prevention gate (whitelist cannot be mixed across bundles) when compiling.
3. General Theory: If no judgments can be cited, supplement with general academic theory, but must clearly mark "general theory" instead of passing it off as judgment opinions.
Hallucination Prevention (Hard Constraint): Each element must be marked with its basis source (literal meaning of provision/judgment number/general theory); it is prohibited to create elements that are not in the literal meaning of the provisions, nor supported by judgments or general theory, and it is also not allowed to omit provisos or negative elements.
Separate Positive and Negative Elements: Justification defenses (e.g., justification of illegality, contributory negligence, statute of limitations defense) are listed as independent inspection blocks and not mixed with positive elements.
Example Library of Constituent Elements for Common Claim Bases and Charges: Refer to references/subsumption-checklists.md, which also contains detailed explanations of decomposition criteria. The example library is only a starting point and must be verified against the verified original text of the provisions for the current case.

Step 3: Element-by-Element Subsumption (Subsumption)

Rule: Map the facts of the case obtained from Step 1 (

- ○ (Conformant): Supported by specific facts, and indicate the corresponding facts and evidence.
- ✗ (Not Conformant): Specific facts show that the element does not hold.
- △ (Fact Unknown): Existing facts are insufficient to make a judgment——do not supplement facts through speculation or common sense, mark △ uniformly.
