Deliver a standalone navigation MP4 at normal speed that covers the specified interval and lets viewers know the current chapter, topic, or step and playback progress. The default is a black background with white text and a blue, text-free segmented progress bar. The number and hierarchy of chapters are determined by the content; there is no promise that navigation is suitable for every video.
A
Black-Background Blue Style is built in. User configuration is located at
~/.dbs/video-navigation/config.json
and
, and the root directory can be changed through
. When the user requests that a style be saved, use
; do not overwrite an existing name, and preserve the old configuration before changing the default. Project snapshots store the complete style, but reusing a style does not reuse timing parameters from another video.
The complete creation workflow has been validated on a Chinese single-presenter tutorial video. Synthetic subtitle and audio-video tests cover timing, dimensions, segmentation, encoding, and abnormal inputs; they do not prove the quality of semantic chaptering across different video types. Interviews, screen recordings, multilingual content, and similar cases are checked by the Agent against the actual materials, but no systematic quality evaluation using real videos is currently available.
Run
python3 scripts/test_navigation.py
for deterministic checks. After configuring fonts and FFmpeg, run the script with
to perform an actual render. Report test results separately from semantic and visual acceptance performed on the actual video.
Finish immediately after completing the current task. Only when the user explicitly asks about the next step and
is already installed in the current environment may you briefly prompt them to enter
.
