Most teams today evaluate creator fit by scrolling through profiles and going on gut feel — this skill replaces that with a structured, evidence-based assessment that you can share with your team or use to justify partnership decisions to leadership.

Organic Affinity Over Paid History — The strongest niche signal is whether a creator already talks about the category, uses similar products, or lives the lifestyle the brand represents — without being paid. A creator who has posted about clean beauty 40 times organically is a better fit for a clean beauty brand than one who did a single sponsored post for a competitor. Check the ratio of organic-to-sponsored content in the niche.

Content Context, Not Just Category — "Fitness creator" is not a niche. A yoga instructor, a CrossFit competitor, a postpartum fitness coach, and a gym-bro bodybuilder are all "fitness creators" but they fit completely different brands. Score the specific content context, not the broad category label.

If the recommendation would surprise or confuse the creator's followers, the niche fit is weak regardless of what the content calendar looks like. What NOT to Do

- Do not conflate popularity with fit. A creator trending on TikTok this week is not automatically a fit for your wellness brand. Score the niche, not the hype.
- Do not score based on a single post. One skincare video doesn't make someone a skincare creator. Assess the content pattern across 20+ posts.
- Do not ignore platform mismatch. A creator who thrives on TikTok may not translate to Instagram, and vice versa. Score for the campaign's target platform.
- Do not assume audience from content. A creator posting about luxury fashion may have an audience that aspires to luxury but can't afford $200 products. Audience data matters more than content aesthetics.
- Do not skip the red flag check. High fake follower counts, recent brand safety issues, or exclusive competitor deals override niche fit scores.
- 不要将人气等同于匹配度。本周在TikTok走红的创作者并非自动适配你的健康品牌。要为niche打分,而非跟风热度。

- Every dimension score has specific evidence cited — no scores justified only by "seems like a good fit."
- The weighted calculation is correct — manually verify the math. A rounding error changes the recommendation tier.
- Red flags have been checked — even if none are found, confirm the check was performed.
- The recommendation matches the score — an 8.5 creator should not get a "proceed with caution" unless red flags explain the downgrade.
- A Head of Influencer Marketing would forward this to their team and trust the recommendation — the assessment is specific enough to make a real partnership decision, not so generic it could describe any creator.
